As a producer and composer, David writes and scores original music for independent films, and also serves as executive producer on various projects.  His composer credits include independent films, advertising, television and occasional works for concert hall settings. He studied formal music theory, ear training, and orchestration at the University of Washington School of Music, and film scoring and conducting at the UCLA Extension for Film Scoring in Los Angeles, as well as the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle. He also studied composition privately with award winning composers, Ken Benshoof and Hummie Mann, and film orchestration from Scott Smalley, orchestrator for many feature film scores, including Batman and Mission: Impossible. His professional affiliations include The Society of Composers & Lyricists and the performing rights organization, BMI.
